THIRD ORDER REGULAR

THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF PENANCE

THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
The
Franciscan Third Order Regular of Brothers and Sisters of Penance of
the Blessed Virgin Mary are Tertiaries Regular in the Franciscan
tradition who live in community or in the world according to the Rule
of Life under the Anglican Patriarchate (Anglican Rite Roman Catholic
Church). Brothers and Sisters begin as novices and then may profess
life vows according to the Rule. As a Third Order, members may be
either married or celibate.
The
abbreviation of this order is T.O.R. Mar.
