Bells
and the Elevations During Archpatral Masses
The
following applies to all archpatral masses, regardless of solemnity.
1. The
altar bells are not rung at any point during archpatral masses.
2. At the
elevation of the Host, the archfather elevates the host as usual.
Then at the height of the elevation, he makes a semi-circle, turning
first to the Epistle side, then to the Gospel side, and then
returning to the centre.
3. The
same semi-circle is repeated for the elevation of the Chalice.
